At Pathways, we are building the data layer needed to decarbonize manufacturing.
Our platform helps material manufacturers (think steel, cement, wood) measure and reduce their environmental footprint. Our AI-enabled technology simplifies the production of Life Cycle Analysis (LCAs) for building materials. This is the core data needed to understand material impact and track sustainability in construction.
We turn these LCAs into 3rd-party verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), the required certification for manufacturers. Our technology transforms this process from an expensive, backward-looking, academic report, into dynamic, actionable insights that allow manufacturers to decarbonize their operations and differentiate their products.
We are obsessed with making manufacturing and construction green. Today, 40% of global emissions come from the built environment, for new buildings half is from the material choices alone. At the same time, the urban environment is set to double by 2060. That’s equivalent to building a new New York City every single month. Releasing 250 gigatons of “embodied carbon” just from the production of building materials.
Pathways was founded by Leise and Alex. Previously, Leise scaled a venture in material recycling after several years at McKinsey and Alex spent half a decade scaling start-ups (Uber, Two Chairs). We’re now a small team, backed by exceptional investors, tackling a huge problem, and are off to the races.
Pathways is committed to building a culture of belonging and inclusivity. We encourage interested candidates from diverse backgrounds to apply even if you don't think you meet every requirement of the role. We believe the best way to achieve our mission and fulfill our values means building a team that represents people from all identities, backgrounds, experiences, abilities, and perspectives.
